Every year in December we change the Second Sunday Series format from beautiful chamber music to LOUD, PUSH YOU BACK IN THE PEWS EXCITING, STAN KENTON & SAMMY NESTICO BIG BAND JAZZ ARRANGEMENTS OF CHRISTMAS CAROLS!
This year on Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 P.M. at Englewood Christian Church we will once again present a Big Band JAZZ program of Nestico and Kenton carol arrangements. “Big Band”, in this case, means four trumpets, four French horns, four trombones, a tuba and a rhythm section.
Half of the excitement of this program is the arrangements and the other half is the Band. Again this year we think we have assembled some outstanding musicians to play this music for you. Every year the Band membership evolves a little bit, and every year someone comes up to us after the program to declare that “this was the best Band ever.”
On December 11 at 2:00 we’ll let you be the judge.
